Gardening is Not for Everyone
This is the time of year when the hot weather plants are slowing down. But it’s also time to harvest some of the things you’ve grown all year. The sweet potatoes had some early signs of frost so it was time to harvest. The best way to do this in our size garden is purely by hand. It is hard dirty work but I love sweet potatoes so it’s worth it. At least I think it is My hands are very sore. We weighed our harvest- 122 pounds of sweet potatoes. Some are small but we have some really big ones and lots of medium ones too. This is what 122 pounds of sweet potatoes looks like.
