Ma'am and Dadgum's House

The Murphy family is on their way home and the house is quiet. The last full day together was wonderful and included some epic dress up which included Amber and Gelsey ! Never underestimate the joy of  dress up.  A fun time was had by all. 

As our time with Frank and Penelope comes to an end for this year I want to say what great helpers they have been.  Frank has grown up so much that he can help Dadgum with man work.  Penny has learned about dead heading flowers.  They both have enjoyed harvesting in the garden.  I’m going to miss them but will be thinking about next year.   Good job, Kids. The corona virus didn’t stop us from having fun. I’m already looking forward to next year. 

Summers with grandkids have always included painting. Frank noticed that I have lots of art supplies in the bins I get out when they come to stay. Here are some of this summer’s offerings.  Our first paint projects were on canvas.  We painted lots of rocks. What a fun addition to the yard and garden.  The neighbor brought over some pots and the kids made pot people. We might plant an aloe in the top.  We are planning on a little more painting this week. 

Summer with the kids includes plenty of silliness. This morning the kids got to play with the Snapchat filters which can be very silly.  This is his future job. 

Summer with the kids is always fun. This year we have spend almost all of our time around the house but have gotten out a little.  Playing at the park  Art Attack is always fun.  Eating at Bubba’s is a favorite.  Being silly.  The kids are putting together a 500 piece puzzle! Penelope even did yoga.  I’m sure we will do more fun stuff before it’s time to go home. 

We has a Fourth of July mini parade. It was a big hit.
