Helpers

As our time with Frank and Penelope comes to an end for this year I want to say what great helpers they have been.  Frank has grown up so much that he can help Dadgum with man work.  Penny has learned about dead heading flowers.  They both have enjoyed harvesting in the garden.  I’m going to miss them but will be thinking about next year.  












Good job, Kids. The corona virus didn’t stop us from having fun. I’m already looking forward to next year.

    I love that they got to have a somewhat normal time with you this summer! What a fun way to look back on this pandemic and smile!!

Fruits of our Labors

Early this Spring I planted tomato and pepper seeds for this year’s garden. Then came the stay home order so we decided to do a very large garden. The best part of gardening is the harvest. I’ve got tomatoes and peas in the freezer, Anasazi and lima beans drying and cucumbers in the pickle jar. I know that harvesting tells the plant to keep producing. Our garden is in “middle age” because it’s showing a few flaws but we are still getting lots of veggies.  At this time of year I like to eat something from the garden every day. Lots of Fun

 We have had a couple of fun days. We went to the zoo today. There are things that weren’t open or are being remodeled. We still had fun. Frank wondered if taking care of peacocks and peahens would be like taking care of chickens. Here are some pictures from the zoo and their new t-shirts.
