Summer in Albuquerque

 Penelope was my kicking partner at Taekwondo on Wednesday. That was pretty special. 

In the afternoon we decided to go to the museum of natural history. Unfortunately the naturalist center was closed. That’s always a favorite part. Frank impressed me with reading the Latin names of the prehistoric creatures. The animatronic dinosaur was awesome. We had a good time.

Fruits of our Labors

Early this Spring I planted tomato and pepper seeds for this year’s garden. Then came the stay home order so we decided to do a very large garden. The best part of gardening is the harvest. I’ve got tomatoes and peas in the freezer, Anasazi and lima beans drying and cucumbers in the pickle jar. I know that harvesting tells the plant to keep producing. Our garden is in “middle age” because it’s showing a few flaws but we are still getting lots of veggies.  At this time of year I like to eat something from the garden every day. Here’s a few pictures.

Lots of Fun

 We have had a couple of fun days. We went to the zoo today. There are things that weren’t open or are being remodeled. We still had fun. Frank wondered if taking care of peacocks and peahens would be like taking care of chickens. Here are some pictures from the zoo and their new t-shirts.
